The Vermont Flying OctopusThe Flying Octopus is very rare. It has been sited only 17 times in the past 5 years. It can obviously fly, and uses its abilities to fly from one water hole to another. The Flying Octopus lives only in Vermont. No one knows why this is true. Most octopuses live in salt water, but Vermont only has fresh water rivers, lakes and streams. Nonetheless, the flying octopus loves it here in Montpelier. It is rarely seen anywhere else.
